Following a small fixture re-shuffle at the start of the year, Cheltenham Town Ladies have established a new date for one of the biggest games of the season.
The Robins were originally set to make the trip south to face the only team to beat them in the league so far on December 12, 2021. However, with both clubs involved in other competitions – Cheltenham in the FA WNL Plate and Southampton in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup – the game has been rescheduled for February 13, 2022 (2pm).
This will be the third meeting between the two clubs this season, with Southampton picking up a 3-1 win on the opening day of the campaign, before overcoming the Robins again in the FA Cup, this time on penalties after the teams were locked at 1-1 at the end of 120 minutes.
This latest rescheduling adds to an already busy February for Cheltenham Town Ladies, with games against Exeter City Women in the FA WNL Plate Quarter Final (February 6), Bristol Ladies Union in the Gloucestershire FA County Trophy (February 20), Portishead Town Ladies and Chesham United Ladies in the league (23 and 27 February respectively).
