Latest Signing Announced

20th July 2021

Battling midfielder, Lacy-Jai Liggett has become the latest summer arrival for Cheltenham Town Ladies.

The Hartpury student is the fourth new face to join Tom Davies’ squad ahead of the 2021/22 FA Women’s National League campaign.

Despite being only 18, Liggett brings a good level of physical sport experience with her, having played mixed football at Abbeymead Rovers Reds and Gloucester City Women, while also representing Hartpury’s first team. She has also played for Old Richians Women’s Rugby and Matson Women’s Rugby, as a fly-half or centre, even getting some Gloucestershire county caps under her belt.

Talking to Jon Palmer of Gloucstershire Live, she’s hoping her physical sporting background will contribute to the Cheltenham cause this season.

“I give 110 per cent in training and in games,” she said.

“I go on the pitch with heart and will to win because there’s no better feeling than winning!”

Cheltenham Town Ladies continue their pre-season campaign, welcoming Sutton Coldfield Town Women to the Corinium Stadium on Sunday (July 25). They start the FA WNL Division One season at home to Southampton Women on August 15. The Robins Ladies’ fixtures can be found here
