PREVIEW: London Bees (A)

9th March 2024

By Owen Mason.

Cheltenham Town Ladies will be looking for their first win of 2024 as they face London Bees on Sunday (2pm kickoff).

Despite some promising performances, the Robinesses are winless since December, since their 1-0 win over Hashtag United.

Three weeks ago in their last outing against Cardiff City, Tom Davies’ side were unfortunate not to come away with at least a point, as they were edged out 2-1.

Tianna Teisar opened the scoring for the Dragons with only eight minutes on the clock, however just before the break Una Lue levelled to claim her fourth goal of the season. Ruby Scahill’s late strike have Fern Burrage-Male’s side, all three points.

This weekend, the Robinesses travel to North London, as they face London Bees. Daniele Denyer’s side are currently bottom of the Women’s National League Southern Premier, however in the reverse fixture at Kayte Lane back in September, they gave Cheltenham a scare.

Taylor O’Leary opened the scoring with an early penalty for the Bees, however Lily Billingham levelled up. Emily Allen and captain Emily Owen doubled the Robinesses’ lead, and despite a late flurry from Bees which saw a late goal, Davies’ side earned their first three points of the season at a scorching Kayte Lane.

The game is being played at Bees Stadium in Barnet, at the Hive, HA8 6AG. Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for under-17s.

For supporters unable to attend, live-action updates will be provided on the Club’s X Account (formerly Twitter) as well as Instagram.
