Cheltenham Town Ladies FC have been handed a home tie in the Third Round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
Following a dramatic comeback against Exeter City Women, Cheltenham will play host to FA Women’s Champioship outfit, Reading Women, on Sunday December 10 (2:00pm Kick off).
The Royals reached the Quarter Finals last season, losing out to eventual winners, Chelsea Women 3-1 after passing Leicester City Women and Tottenham Hotspur Women on penalties in the Fourth and Fifth Round respectively.
After starting in the Second Qualifying Round, Cheltenham last reached the Third Round in 2020-21, beating Brislington, Portishead, and Exeter City before losing to Portsmouth, who were then disqualified for fielding an ineligible player. The Robinesses would go on to lose 2-1 in extra time against Gillingham Women.
Reading currently sit in 10th in the Women’s Championship, with 10 games played.
