CTLFC 0-1 London Bees

18th March 2023

The Robinesses fell to a 1-0 loss at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium against London Bees in front of a record crowd for the Ladies team.

406 people attended the game, beating the old record attendance for the Robinesses which stood at 375 prior to tonight.

A goal from Bolu Fisher late on following a corner scramble was enough to seal the 3 points for the Bees.

It was a bright start for the Robinesses as the ball came across to Billie Haynes who drilled the ball across the face of the goal in search of the opener.

Cheltenham kept the pressure on as a nice flick from Izzy Cook (pictured) got her past her woman, before drilling a shot at Marie Hourihan in the London Bees goal.

The away side were close to taking a lead though, with Juliet Adebowale running through on Aimee Watson’s goal before dragging her shot wide of the far post.

Tom Davies’ side kept the pressure up though as Issy Newns played through Jessie Taylor, whose shot was saved by Hourihan.

The Robinesses kept the pressure on going into the second half, with Haynes’ effort going just wide of the right-hand post

Despite the good chances, London Bees won it at the death, turning the ball in from a corner after a scramble in the box with Fisher getting the final touch to seal the win

The Robinesses’ next game is against Gillingham WFC at the Corinium Stadium, Cirencester on the 2nd April 2pm kick off.
