Cheltenham Town Ladies FC have been handed an away draw in the Second Round of the FA Women’s National League Plate Competition.
For their impressive 9-1 victory in the First Round of the Plate, Tom Davies’ side will make the trip to another Division One (Tier Four) side, this time in the form of Cambridge United Women in the Division One South-East. The teams will meet at Saint Neots Town FC’s New Rowley Park, with a 2PM kick-off.
Cambridge United, who find themselves in 6th place in the FA WNL Division One SE, lost out 5-1 at home to Gillingham Women in the FA WNL League Cup Determining Round, before defeating local rivals Cambridge City 4-0 in the First Round of the Plate.
Cheltenham visit New Rowley Park (Kester Way, St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, PE19 6SL) with Cambridge looking to build some strong form, having racked up two big home wins, scoring 11 goals and conceding none. These 7-0 against Chesham United (Oct 2) and the 4-0 against Cambridge City Women (Nov 6).
