Cheltenham Town Ladies have now learned who they will face in the Final of the Gloucestershire FA County Women’s Trophy.
The Robins will defend their title against Almondsbury Women, who sit second in the SWRWFL North division (Tier 6) on April 19 (7:30pm kick-off).
Cheltenham return to Oaklands Park (Gloucester Road, Almondsbury, Bristol BS32 4AG) after handing out a 6-0 defeat to Downend Flyers in the Second Round back in December 2021, before receiving a walkover against Bristol Ladies Union in the quarter-final. With the Development Team also receiving a walkover against Chipping Sodbury, both Robins’ sides met in the Semi-Finals, the First Team prevailing 5-0.
This is the first time since 2019 that the final of the County Trophy will take place, having been postponed after the Covid19 pandemic in early 2020, while the competition as a whole was not played for 2020/21.
