Cheltenham Town Ladies’ fixture with Southampton Women has been rescheduled again, following a waterlogged pitch postponement.
The Robins will now make the trip to Hampshire on Sunday April 24
This is the second rearrangement of this fixture, with the clash original set for December 12. Due to both clubs’ participation in Cup football – Cheltenham in the League Plate and Southampton in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup – the meeting between the two sides was rearranged for 13 February 2021.
This rearranged fixture was announced as postponed an hour before kick-off, following a routine pitch inspection. Standing water on the field of play meant that the fixture would yet again need a new date.
This new date means that Cheltenham’s run up to the end of the season will see them face Exeter City Women (Home: April 3), Chesham United Ladies (Home: April 17) and Southampton Women (Away April 24). The Gloucestershire FA County Trophy will also become a fixture, on April 19, at GFA HQ in Almondsbury.
