Fixture updates

16th November 2020

Cheltenham Town Ladies have received brand new dates for their future FA Women’s National League fixtures.

The Robinesses saw their fixtures postponed by the FA, following the government’s announcement of a new national lockdown as Covid-19 cases continue to rise.

The lockdown saw an end to group training as well as matches, with Cheltenham missing out on four fixtures during November. However, with Women’s Football Weekend in full swing, the FA Women’s National League have provided new dates for affected games.

The new date will see Cheltenham return to league action on December 20, with the majority of the newly scheduled fixtures taking place after the Christmas break.

Cheltenham’s new fixture dates:

  • December 20: Southampton FC (H)
  • January 10: Exeter City Women (H)
  • January 17: Southampton Women (A)
  • January 31: Buckland Athletic Women (A)
  • February 7: Brislington Ladies (H)
  • February 14: Chesham United Women (A)
  • February 21: Larkhall Athletic Women (H)
  • February 28: Maidenhead United Women (A)
  • March 7: Poole Town Ladies (H)
  • March 14: Exeter City Women (A)
  • March 28: Southampton Women (H)
  • April 11: Southampton FC (A)
  • April 18: Buckland Athletic Women (H)

The only remaining fixture that has not been given a date is the club’s local derby trip to Brislington Ladies, originally scheduled for Cheltenham’s opening game of the season, which was postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the Bristol club’s camp.

It is currently unclear whether supporters will be allowed access to games following the return to action, with the FA Women’s National League working on limited capacity attendances since the start of 2020/21.

The club has also received a date for the First Round Proper of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup, and will make the trip to Exeter City Women on December 13th, with a 1pm kick-off.

These fixtures are subject to change. Please keep an eye on the club’s social media platforms and website for further updates.
