Vacancy: Club Secretary

24th February 2020

Cheltenham Town Ladies’ first team play in tier four, the FA Women’s National League Division One, with the Reserves playing tier six, South-West Regional level.

County champions, we competed in the first round proper of the FA Cup this season and have been pushing for promotion for two seasons, with this being a very realistic goal for 2020/21.

We seek an experienced Club Secretary, with a good working knowledge of the FA, its rule book, the whole game, Full Time and Playing Surface systems.

Working closely with the Chairman, Treasurer, PR manager and team managers, this would suit someone who is both passionate about the development of the Ladies’ game, and who has the time to commit to this voluntary role.

Tasks include the booking of pitches and transport, liasing with opposition secretaries (this season that includes the likes of Southampton FC and Swindon Town), referees, sponsors, the club’s youth section, the FA and Gloucestershire FA. Attendance at quarterly board meetings (evenings) and annual league meetings (weekends). Expenses are paid.

There is the opportunity to shadow our outgoing Secretary for the remainder of this footballing year, before taking on the role completely during pre-season, so this should not prevent inexperienced applicants with the drive and passion for the ladies game from applying.

To apply for the role of Club Secretary, please contact Club Chairman, Andy Liddle, on chairman@ctlfc.com
