Cheltenham Town Ladies’ FA Women’s National League fixture with Buckland Athletic has been postponed due to safety concerns surrounding The Big Local Stadium’s playing surface.
A pitch inspection was carried out the day before the fixture due to the wet conditions, small pockets of standing water and potential for injury on the slippery surface. After the inspection it was decided that the soft surface was too much of a hazard for play to be allowed.
Unfortunately, due to limited facilities available around Cheltenham, the Robinesses were unable to secure a 4G all-weather pitch to host the game and the fixture has had to be postponed.
