For the third time in recent weeks, Cheltenham Town Ladies have forced into rescheduling a fixture due to a waterlogged pitch at Petersfield Park.
The Ladies’ SSE Women’s FA Cup third qualifying round clash with Exeter City Women originally scheduled for tomorrow (October 27th) will have to be re-arranged due to heavy rain overnight on Friday and most of the day today, which has lead to standing water developing on the pitch surface.
These pockets of standing water and very soft surface pose a threat to player safety, which has also lead to hosts, Cheltenham Saracens FC, having their game postponed today.
