8th October 2019
Just a day after announcing their league clash with Exeter City Women had been rearranged until November 3rd, Cheltenham Town Ladies have been drawn with the Devon club in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
The game will take place on Sunday October 27th at 2pm, meaning the two clubs will face each other back-to-back, once at The DN Fire Stadium, and once in Devon.
Manager Alex Cheal remarked that the draw was “exactly like last year”, which saw Cheltenham beat Brislington in the Second Qualifying Round before hosting Exeter in the next. On that occassion, a 35-yard free-kick from then-captain Sarah Walters was the only difference as The Robins entered the First Round Proper, only to lose out to Buckland Athletic at Homers Heath.
Tickets for this game remain the same as a FA WNL fixture; £2 for adults, while Cheltenham Town men’s season ticket holders, Robins Trust members and all children get free entry. Match programmes are free to paying adults and are £1 for those receiving free entry.
The Robins are back in FA WNL Plate action this Sunday, hosting Poole Town Ladies. 2pm kick-off, The DN Fire Stadium (GL51 9DX)
