Following a vastly successful 2018/19 campaign which saw Cheltenham Town Ladies’ First and Reserve teams set record finishes in their respective leagues, the First team crowned winners of the GFA County Cup and the club listed among the nominees for FA WNL Club Of The Year, Cheltenham Town Ladies have been awarded FA WNL Respect Club of The Year at the FA Women’s Nation League Annual General Meeting, along with Sheffield FC Ladies and Burnley FC Women.
Respect Club Of The Year is awarded to clubs in the Women’s National League who have the best discipline both on and off the field, as well as the general standards of conduct and administration.
FA Women’s National League Chairman, Carol West, congratulated Cheltenham Town Ladies, stating that the club has “demonstrated over the past season that it operates to high standards in all of these areas which is a testament to club officials, administrators and players alike.”
After finishing the 2018/19 season on a high note, the First and Reserve teams report back to pre-season training this week with the Open Trials (June 20th).
