Manager Hopes To Retain Side’s Top Spot

14th September 2018

Alex Cheal is hoping his team can stay top of the pile as they face Southampton Saints Girls & Ladies this Sunday at the DN Fire Stadium.

The Ladies are currently leading the way in the South West Division of the FA Women’s National League one point ahead of Keynsham Town and Southampton Women’s who have both played one game less.

“Two games in a week is never ideal at this level but we have a stronger squad than previously and options all across the pitch.  It was great to keep the momentum going at Swindon and in the first half we played some truly outstanding football,” he says.

“Under Adam Lee (the Saints Manager), Saints are always a well organised side and although they are in period of transition we must maintain our high level of concentration and focus.

“While our attackers get all the headlines, last week was our first clean sheet since March and that is testimony to our hardworking defence and excellent goal keeper.

Kick off at the DN Fire Stadium (Cheltenham Saracens FC) is 2pm.

Entry is £2 with CTFC Season Ticket Holders and Robins Trust members FREE.
