Reserves Match Report by Sarah H-G

3rd September 2018

Cheltenham Town Ladies Reserves started their final pre-season friendly looking very lively and were pulling together some well worked attacks playing from the back and within 15 minutes took the lead with a goal from Diana Toth (pictured).

The Ladies continued to press the ball high up the pitch making life difficult for Gloucester City and a smart finish from a cross from Lauren Cable, great strike from outside the box from Emily Skipp and another well taken goal from Diana put them 4-0 up.

Gloucester then had a good break down the left hand side pulling a goal back before Lauren Cable volleyed in from a corner for 5-1 at half time.

The second half saw a slow start for Cheltenham under the struggles with the warm temperatures but finally broke through seeing another goal a piece for Diana, Lauren and Emily and then a well taken penalty from Georgia.

Gloucester also pulled one back to end the game 9-2. The reserves look forward to starting this seasons South West Women’s League campaign next Sunday away to AEK Boco.
