Manager Alex Cheal has named his final first team squad for the FA WPL season to face Southampton Women’s FC at Petersfield Park tomorrow.
“We have had a very disjointed final third of the season,” he says. “Any coach will tell you that playing seven games over a four and half month period hinders team progress, cohesion and match sharpness. And our final games have been against the top three clubs.
“Having said that the players have been excellent throughout and will look to finish their season with a good performance. We were desperately unlucky not to get anything from the corresponding fixture and I am hoping we can correct that.”
