Cheltenham Town Ladies head overseas for this weekend’s FAWPL game, when they visit Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. Kick off 1:00 pm.
Manager Graham Fletcher, looking forward to the game, commented: “Because of the distance and travel time involved we decided to travel over on Saturday, watch the 6 nations rugby, and then prepare for the game. It’s a long way – last year we left at 7am, played the game, and arrived home by 10pm, so a long day. This year we plan to take a more relaxed approach, and break the trip up. We have to ensure our main focus remains on winning the game, and prepare accordingly.
“After last week’s GFA County Cup Semi-Final win, we can now concentrate on the league again, pick up some more points, and continue with the good progress we have made this season.
“I have a full strength squad for the weekend and if we play to our levels I’m hopeful of a positive result.”
