Cheltenham Town Women will be looking to extend their winning run to five games when they return to league action on Sunday, as they welcome MK Dons to Kayte Lane (2pm kick-off).
Wins against Plymouth, Moneyfields, Stockport and last week’s Third Round Adobe Women’s FA Cup victory over Norwich City, put Tom Davies’ side in a great position going into 2025.
The Robinesses are Women’s National League Plate Semi-Finalists, and have made it to the Fourth Round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup for the first time in their history.
After a goalless first half, Una Lue opened the scoring, but the deficit was clawed back by Hope Strauss’ penalty for the Canaries. The game went to Extra Time, where in the 98th minute, Lue struck again to make club history.
The Robinesses will face WNL Northern Premier side Wolverhampton Wanderers, on Sunday January 12, at Kayte Lane, in Round Four. Davies’ and Dan McNamara’s side are two of only seven WNL sides to get to the last 32 of this season’s competition.
This weekend, MK Dons are the visitors to Kayte Lane, in the final game of 2024. Abdoullah Kheir’s side are currently winless after 12 games, with a point to their name in 12th.
In the reverse fixture back in August, The Robinesses came out 5-0 winners in their first away game of the new season. Goals from Emily Owen, Henna Butcher, Lacy-Jai Liggett and a brace from Lue gave Davies’ side all three points at Stadium MK.
Tickets are £6 for adults, and £1 for Under 18s, and can be purchased here or on the gate.
Information on travel to Kayte Lane (GL52 3PD) can be found here.
For supporters unable to attend, live-action updates will be provided on the Club’s X Account (formerly Twitter) as well as on Instagram.
