Midfielder Brooke Ellis has joined The Robinesses from rivals Forest Green Rovers Women.
Despite being only 17, Ellis admits she’s looking forward to the prospect of playing in the FA Women’s National League Premier Division.
“This is the level I want to be in terms of my own development, and although I’m 17, I feel that getting early exposure to the women’s game can develop my performance as well as game understanding.” She told Gloucestershire Live.
“I believe Cheltenham will be the best place for that.”
Eliis has previous experience with Wales and has participated at County level before moving into college football, and has recently been selected to be part of the England Colleges squad for 2024/25.
Ellis’ introduction to football came from her family, as her aunt and uncle both previously played. This influenced her desire to be a defensive midfielder.
When asked about how she would introduce herself to Robinesses supporters, Ellis commented: “I would say I bring an element of enthusiasm and drive to the squad and hope that I can show that and get started in a good way.”
