16th September 2024
Cheltenham Town Women have learned who they’ll face in the First Round of the FA Women’s National League Plate.
The Robinesses will face/travel to Boldmere St. Michaels on Sunday September 29 (2:00pm kick-off) in the First Round of the League Plate.
Boldmere’s recent history in the League Plate goes back to 2022/23, where they suffered the heartbreak of a penalty shootout loss to AFC Fylde Women in the Second Round. They were also eliminated in the Second Round in 2021/22 following a 1-0 loss to Sporting Khalsa. Last season saw them qualify for the League Cup, where they exited in the First Round at home against Newcastle, a 92nd minute Bridgette Galloway goal picking up the win for the visitors.
Cheltenham have had a spell of good campaigns in the League Plate, reaching the semi-final in 2022, in a losing effort to Nottingham Forest. The following campaign saw them exit at the Quarter-Final stage after going to penalties with Crawley Wasps.
