Cheltenham Town Women will shift their focus onto the FA Women’s National League Cup Determining Round as they make the short trip to Worcester City on Thursday (7:45pm kick-off)
Tom Davies’ side make the trip to Sixways Stadium, after a fantastic start to the season. After their 4-0 opener against Plymouth Argyle, the Robinesses went away to MK Dons and won 5-0. Goals from Emily Owen, Lacy Jai Liggett, Henna Butcher and a brace from Una Lue, sent Cheltenham second in the table after two games.
This time last year, Cheltenham beat Maidenhead United 3-0 in the determining round of the FA WNL Cup.
Worcester City have had a tough start to life in the Women’s National League Division One Midlands (Tier Four) after gaining promotion last term. They lost 4-1 at home to Peterborough United and 4-2 away to Northampton last weekend.
This game marks a quick turnaround for the Robinesses as after this cup clash, they return to league action on Sunday September 1, as they welcome AFC Wimbledon to Kayte Lane.
The game is being played at Sixways Stadium, WR3 8ZE. Tickets can be bought in advance by clicking here.
For supporters unable to attend, live-action updates will be provided on the Club’s X Account (formerly Twitter) as well as on Instagram.
