PREVIEW: Plymouth Argyle (H)

18th January 2024

By Owen Mason.

Cheltenham Town Ladies will be looking to bounce back from two straight defeats as Plymouth Argyle make the trip to Kayte Lane on Sunday (2PM Kick-off).

The Robinesses took on Rugby Borough a fortnight ago, which remained goalless for 70 minutes. However, a four-goal flurry late on, which saw goals from Nicky Potts, Sam Curwood-Wagner, Jess Camwell, and Lucy Whipp, gave Borough all three points.

The Robinesses narrowly lost 3-2 to Plymouth back in September, as after Phoebie Poole and Emily Owen had twice pegged back the deficit, a late goal from Ellie Sara secured the win for Argyle.

A win for Tom Davies’ side would send them level with MK Dons in sixth place, who they play next on Sunday January 28, at Stadium MK.

Plymouth were involved in a 3-3 draw with Chatham Town a fortnight ago, and last week they lost 6-1 to fellow Women’s National League side Nottingham Forest, in the Fourth Round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

Tickets are £6 for adults, and £3 for concessions, and will be played at Kayte Lane (GL52 3PD). Tickets can be bought in advance for this game, as well as on the gate, by clicking here.
