PREVIEW: Hashtag United

3rd December 2023

By Owen Mason.

Cheltenham Town Ladies will be looking to make it five games unbeaten as they make the long trip to league leaders Hashtag United on Sunday (3pm kickoff).

The Robinesses are still on a high after their dramatic Adobe Women’s FA Cup Second Round win against Exeter City a week ago. After being a goal down for most of the second half thanks to Sarah Stacey, late goals from Emily Allen, Phoebie Poole and Emily Owen, booked their places in the Third Round.

In a week’s time they’ll welcome Women’s Championship side Reading to Kayte Lane, as they look to reach the Fourth Round for the first time ever.

Tom Davies’ side return to league action for the first time since the goalless draw with Chatham a month ago, and visit the league leaders who’ve only lost one league game all season, to MK Dons.

The Tags’ last outing was a 1-0 win over Cardiff Ladies last Sunday. This is the first meeting between the sides. Hashtag Women were created in 2020/21, in a merger with AFC Basildon Women, and got promoted last term, with that feat looking likely again this season.

The game is being played at Parkside, (RM15 4PX) at 3pm. Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for concessions, and £1 for children.

For supporters unable to attend, live-action updates will be provided on the Club’s X Account (formerly Twitter) as well as Instagram.
