Cheltenham Town Ladies will be looking to reach the Third Round of the Women’s FA Cup for only the third time in their history, as they take on Exeter City Women at Kayte Lane on Sunday. (2PM Kick-off)
The Robinesses have reached the 2008/09 and 2020/21 seasons. In the latter season they beat Brislington, Portishead Town, Exeter City, and Portsmouth via forfeit, before losing out 2-1 to Gillingham in April 2021.
Tom Davies’ side come into this game after their First-Round triumph against Cardiff City a fortnight ago, thanks to a stunner from Tash Harding and a superb brace from Una Lue, with both women getting their first goals for the club in the process.
Exeter City currently sit in 2nd in the Women’s National League Division One South West Premier, with a staggering 11 straight wins in all competitions.
Exeter thrashed Torquay United and Helston Athletic 7-0, and 8-0 to reach this stage. The last time these two sides met was in April 2022, where Cheltenham won 3-1, on their way to getting promoted to the third tier.
The games come thick and fast for the Robinesses, as after this weekend’s game, they return to league action to face Hashtag United on Sunday December 3.
Tickets are £6 for adults, and £3 for concessions, and will be played at Kayte Lane (GL52 3PD). Tickets can be bought in advance for this game, as well as on the gate, by clicking here.
