Cheltenham Town Ladies have appointed a new Assistant Manager ahead of their second season in the FA Women’s National League Premier South.
Meg Harding joins the Club from Portishead Town Ladies after leading the Somerset outfit to the FA Women’s National League Division One South-West (Tier Four).
Harding will work alongside Assistant Manager Dan Liddiard in assisting Manager Tom Davies as the club embark on another season in the third tier of women’s football.
Talking to Jon Palmer of Gloucestershire Live, Harding commented: “Coaching is definitely the most rewarding thing I have done.
“Noticing myself develop as a coach and person and recognising the development in players over the last three years has been extremely rewarding.”
Harding worked with Tom Davies last season to establish loan moves for players, and she looks forward to working with him again at the Gloucestershire Club.
“Tom has been brilliant with it all; he’s supported and trusted me throughout the whole process and I feel very grateful for the opportunity to work with him this year,” she said.
“It’s a privilege to be a part of a team in Tier Three and coaching at this standard is something I wouldn’t have imagined a few years ago. There are a lot of really positive things going on behind the scenes at this club and I’m looking forward to meeting everyone.
“My aim is to support the players, Tom and Dan the best I can. I want to continue to develop as a coach which I am sure I can achieve alongside Dan. As a team our aim is to progress at the level and continue to create a successful and sustainable environment.”
Outside of football, Harding works as a manager for a construction company and spends her free time watching football, or taking her nephew to his own training sessions on Saturday mornings.
