The Robinesses are set to face National League Southern Division side Billericay Town Women.
Cheltenham played Billericay in the second game of the season, when skipper Emily Owen’s goal inspired a 2-1 comeback.
Billericay come into the game with five successive league wins, but their latest cup escapade ended in a shock defeat to Southampton Women.
Tom Davies’ side have lost their only competitive game of the year, when Crawley Wasps knocked the side out of FA Women’s National League Plate in a tense penalty shootout.
Billericay and Cheltenham are fifth and sixth in the league respectively. The teams are separated by six points, however the Robinesses have two games in hand on their opposition.
Speaking ahead of the weekend’s fixture, Davies recognised that things have changed since their last encounter.
“I’m excited. It’s going to be a completely different game. Both sides are different, both sides are going to be aggressive, and both are going to want the win.”
“Billericay are in great form, but we know what we are capable of doing, and our focus is on us,” said Davies.
The Cheltenham Town manager expects a difficult outing this weekend.
“When we played them, it was a tough game. We know that they’ve had some good results. We’ve had some good results and we are in a similar league position. I’m expecting it to be a close encounter.”
Billericay Town Women v Cheltenham Town Ladies takes place at New Lodge (postcode: CM12 9SA) at 2:00PM on Sunday, 29th January.
