Cheltenham Town Ladies welcome summer signing number six, Holly Beck-Esson, who joins from West Bromwich Albion Women.
The 19 year old right winger is ready to make the step up to Tier Three of the women’s football pyramid (FA Women’s National League Southern Premier) for the first time and feels Cheltenham is the place to do it.
“A few players told me I should join so I went to see what it was like and was impressed.” She told Gloucestershire Live’s Jon Palmer.
“The training is high intensity and you can see everyone is determined to learn and do their best to have a successful season. If we take what we do in training into our games we are going to be a threat this season.”
Beck-Esson, who works as a personal trainer, describes herself as a competitive, physical and fast player. “I have lots of energy, I’m always wanting to be on the front foot, and as a wing-back now I have the speed to get back and defend in quick transactions,” she said.
“I want to deliver as many goals as I can for the team and get forward to score when the opportunity is on. I go to the gym every day and I love it. I want to be the best I can, having ice baths after football and foam rolling because I know it benefits me and that it helps me play at my best.”
