Tom Davies’ New Year’s Update

6th January 2022

Ahead of the Robins’ return to action on Thursday, January 20 against local rivals Swindon Town, manager Tom Davies has provided an update on certain members of the squad.

Kate Bowden, who joined the club in September and made eight appearances before Christmas, continues to serve in the Navy and is unavailable for a number of weeks while she completes her training.

Lauren Ellis is yet to feature this season after suffering a lateral meniscus tear during pre-season. She is currently working through her recovery and isn’t likely to return to the field this season, but remains part of the club with the aim to return next year.

Cerys Dolloway (pictured) continues to work through her concussion protocol and recently returned to training. She is aiming to continue to make progress and gain minutes for the Development Team in 2022.

Annabel Davies has only been able to make one first-team appearance this season due to a torn quadricep. After playing for her University as well as the Development Team, she has picked up another injury which is to be confirmed.

Holly Finch has been side-lined since the first game of pre-season against West Bromwich Albion. She’s beginning to rebuild her strength and resistance and featured for the Development Team before the Christmas break.

Laura McGlone has left the club and we wish her all the best in the future.

With Davies being named National League Division One Manager of the Month for December, continuing the momentum from before Christmas is crucial for the Robins as they look to maintain their five-point advantage at the top of the table.
