Cheltenham Town Ladies are delighted to announce the arrival of new forward, Jade Grove from Boldmere St. Michaels Ladies, formerly Birmingham & West Midlands Ladies.
The strong striker joins the Robinesses after a successful campaign with the Birmingham club in the FA WNL Divions One Midlands, which saw them compete for top spot against Wolverhampton Wanderers Women.
Forming a dangerous partnership with former Cheltenham Town Ladies striker Holly Rogers, Grove was a regular in the Boldmere starting XI, racking up 19 starts and contributing four goals, with only a handful of players making more starts during the campaign.
She told Jon Palmer of Gloucestershire Live, “After Tom contacted me to tell me his plans for the season, I was keen to go down for pre-season to see how it went.
“With such a welcoming team and a positive atmosphere it’s made me feel like I’ve made the right decision moving to a more local club.
Discussing pre-season, she commented “We’ve been put through our paces with the fitness work, where we’ve all seen huge improvements.”
“This is a key development area for me, so it’s hugely helped me as a player.
“My aims for the season are to enjoy the game whilst creating and scoring goals for the team. As a team we want to win as many games as we can and finish as high as possible in the table.
“I’m excited to join a new club and to see what the season brings!”
