6th December 2019
Petersfield Park, home of Hellenic League side, Cheltenham Saracens FC, and FA Women’s National League club Cheltenham Town Ladies, is to undergo a new name change, following the agreement of a new deal with St. Peters and The Moors Big Local.
“The Big Local” is a project set up by the Local Trust in December 2012 with finances coming from The Big Lottery.
St. Peter’s and The Moors were one of 150 Big Local areas of England to receive at least £1million from the Local Trust over 10 years.
The aim of St. Peter’s and The Moors is to create an inspiring community of supportive neighbours, with other visions including:
– enabling residents to be supportive neighbours,
– helping residents make ends meet,
– making the area safer and cleaner
– developing more things to do and places to go in the community.
The new deal will see St. Peters and The Moors Big Local receive naming rights to the stadium, and Petersfield Park will now be named “The Big Local Stadium” until the end of the 2020/21 season.
