Cheltenham Town Ladies’ FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round tie with Exeter City Women will take place next Sunday (November 3rd).
The original fixture, set to be played yesterday, was a victim of the heavy rain experienced over most of Saturday. The torrential downpours lead to puddles of standing water on the pitch, which was deemed a potential hazard to player safety, with ground-holders Cheltenham Saracens also having to postpone their fixture on Saturday.
However, with the free Sunday expected to occur on November 3rd, the FA Cup qualifying clash has been moved back only a week, with 1pm now selected as the official kick-off time.
The winner of this qualifying round will enter the SSE Women’s FA Cup First Round Proper, with the draw for the First Round taking place this evening at 6:15pm on TalkSport 2’s Women’s Football Show.
The First Round Proper itself will take place on November 10th.
