Full Programme For Cheltenham Ladies and Girls This Weekend

22nd September 2017

This weekend sees a full programme for Cheltenham Town Ladies and Cheltenham Town LFC Youth with all seven of the club’s sides in action.
Top of the bill sees Cheltenham Town Ladies play their third home game of the week when they entertain high flying Plymouth Argyle LFC at Petersfield Park, 2pm KO.
Manager, Graham Fletcher makes one change to the squad that beat St Nicholas on Tuesday with Louise Bull returning  in place of Holly Rogers, who will play for the Development side. Samantha Morris remains on the injury list.
Fletcher, commented: “The team played so well on Tuesday, particularly in the second half, that it was an easy decision to keep the same squad. I have a big squad, which you need in this league, so Holly Rogers, Alana Taylor and Tzara Marriott will all play for the Development Team on Sunday, who play at Tewkesbury School 3G against Frome Town.”
Fletcher also added: ” We have all age groups from U10’s, U12’s, U14’s,U16’s, U18’s and two senior Ladies teams playing over the weekend. This is something the club set out to achieve with the merger with Cheltenham Spa and it’s now a reality, great for the club, great for girls’ and women’s football.”
Guy Stirling-Lee, secretary of CTLFC Youth said: “This is a particularly big day for girl’s football in Cheltenham. With our ties with CTLFC we now have a clear pathway for young girls to play football all the way through to senior level which is totally in line with the FA’s strategy for the development of the game.”
