Meet The New Coach

Cheltenham Town Ladies have moved swiftly to appoint Chris Hicks as new first team coach following the recent departure of Sarah Haden.

Chris is FA Level 2 qualified and is currently working towards completing his UEFA B licence. This year he gained the FA Youth award.

After hanging up his boots he has been involved in coaching at Bristol Rovers youth Development, Cirencester Town ladies and presently at WBA Glos Academy.
Chairman Andy Liddle said: “We are delighted to welcome Chris to the fold. He is a talented, knowledgable and enthusiastic character and will make a very positive impact to our squad.”
Chris added:”I am looking forward to working with the Cheltenham ladies team and management. This a young group of players that are keen to improve and I hope that together we can help to fulfill their potential.”
Chris owns a stonemasonry company in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. Married with two children, when not coaching Chris can be found on the sidelines watching his son play football. His daughter is studying at Plymouth university. He is a Bristol City season ticket holder.
