Cheltenham Town Women have been drawn at home to Norwich City in the Third Round Proper of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
The Canaries will make the trip to Kayte Lane on December 8 for a 2:00pm kick-off.
The Robinesses advanced to the Third Round after an impressive 2-1 comeback win over Moneyfields yesterday. Two late goals from Ffion Llewellyn and Una Lue cancelling out Charley Wilson-Wilton’s opener early in the Second Half.
This is the fourth time in The Club’s history that it has reached the Third Round of the Women’s FA Cup, the most recent encounter coming last season when the club faced Women’s Championship side, Reading Women. This season’s Women’s FA Cup campaign started with a dominant 7-0 First Round win over Yeovil Town Women.
As a FA Women’s National League Division One South-East side, Norwich entered the competition in the Third Qualifying Round, seeing off Needham Market 5-0, before eliminating Cambridge United 1-0 in the First Round. A single goal, a Hope Strauss penalty, was enough to book their place in the Third Round as they overcame Leafield Athletic 1-0 yesterday (November 24).
