Lockdown halts FAWNL

30th December 2020

Once again the FA Women’s National League season has ground to a halt with the introduction of the new national lockdown.

This comes days after Cheltenham announced the postponement of their league clash with Southampton FC, set to take place on December 20th 2020.

The lockdown, which has yet to have a formal ending date, will see the postponement of The Robinesses’ next three competitive fixtures: Portsouth (A) in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup, followed by league clashes with Exeter City Women (H) and Southampton Women (A).

The lockdown may also extend further, which would see the club’s local derby against Swindon (H; Jan 27, 7:45pm) postponed, as well as fixtures in early February Buckland (A), Brislington (H) and Chesham (A) have to be rescheduled.

The Development Team’s South-West Women’s Regional Football League has also been postponed, with a number of fixtures in January looking at rearrangement.

Supporters are encouraged to keep up to date with all fixture decisions on the club’s social media pages.
