Ruby Scahill joins the club

21st August 2020

Agile and tireless midfielder, Ruby Scahill is the latest player to join Cheltenham Town Ladies in the run up to the 2020/21 season.

Scahill, who joins from Swindon Town Women, will link up with a few of her Hartpury College and University teammates in The Robinesses’ camp, joining the likes of Cerys Dolloway, Sarah King and fellow new recruit Lauren Kayll.

“I am really excited about the new season and I am looking forward to seeing how far the team can get together.” She told Jon Palmer of Gloucestershire Live.

“My aims for the season are to develop and improve my game as well as for the team to win the league.

“I am really excited about being a part of this team and what is to come.”

The young midfielder came through the ranks at Swindon Town Girls Centre of Excellence, progressing into the club’s First Team in 2018/19. In an interesting twist of fate, Scahill would make her senior debut against Cheltenham as the Robins Derby came to Whaddon Road at the end of the season.

The following season she would go on to make 11 First Team appearances, all of which saw her feature in the starting 11.
