Cheltenham Town Ladies FC Youth Awards Mark ‘Truly Successful’ Season

Cheltenham Town Ladies FC Youth held their end of season awards last night at the Robins’ Jonny-Rocks Stadium. Club Chair Gary Goodhall welcomed over 100 guests to the Robins Club and introduced CTFC Club Ambassador and Head of Academy, Aaron Downes, who handed out the awards.

Cheltenham Town Ladies FC Chairman Andy Liddle said:” This is the first year as a newly merged club and what a truly successful year it has been. I would like to extend my congratulations and thanks to Gary Goodhall, his managers, staff, and all the players for their achievement s this year. It is something I am sure they are all incredibly proud of.”

The Club had a great deal to celebrate with 2 teams claiming a League and Cup double. U18s Manager, Graham Fletcher, thanked and congratulated his players who in their 1st season at this age group won both the GFA U18 Girls League and League Cup. Whilst the U16s, managed by Simon Galpin had further success winning the Gloucester County U16s League, the GFA U15 Girls County Cup and were also Runners up in GFA U16 Girls County Cup age group too.

To ensure the future pathway for all ages Gary Goodhall also recognised the newcomers who are part of the SSE Wildcats Centre which is a weekly activity that offers girls aged 5-11 the opportunity to have fun, make friends and play football.

U12s Top Scorer: Poppy Sullivan, Club Player: Isla Norton, Most Improved: Olivia Plumpton, Manager’s Player: Martha Riglar, Players’ Player: Betsy Gaze.

U14s Top Scorer: Leah Rhodes, Club Player: Annie-May Jones, Most Improved: Naomi Hadad, Manager’s Player: Skye Chamberlain, Players’ Player: Honey Draper & Cerys Roderick, Best Newcomer: Grace Wiggall.

U16s Top Scorer: Courtney Lusmore, Club Player: Erin White, Most Improved: Grace Jordan, Manager’s Player: Hannah Galpin, Anna Symanowski & Libby Liddiard, Players’ Player: Libby Liddiard.

U18s Top Scorer: Holly Fenton, Club Player: Breanna Young, Most Improved: Hannah Hughes, Manager’s Player: Sophie Wicks & Sophie Taylor, Players’ Player: Holly Fenton.
